Late summer is my favorite time of year. My garden is prolific with flowers and veggies. REAL tomatoes!! There's something about the sunlight in late summer. The shadows are long. Even the sun seems a bit lazy and slow. I love it.
It's going to lead to autumn. Which might be even better in the high country of Colorado. The lemon-yellow aspens are amazing. For two weeks it is brilliant and special and heart-rending, because at best we have 3 weeks and then a long cold winter.
But, would autumn be as special if it wasn't so brief and brilliant? Maybe the build up and the brevity lead to the beauty. And it's the same with our precious life, the gift of an incarnation. I've heard from the Higher Self that there are veritable stadiums full of spiritual friends and family watching us in our incarnations of form. Those here are the lucky few to the brief and beautiful experience of form. Let's relish it while we've got it!
